A leading healthcare provider in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is expanding its Orthopedic Department and is seeking a qualified Consultant / Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary surgical team.
The position focuses on delivering high-quality orthopedic care within a modern hospital environment equipped with advanced surgical facilities. The role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions supported by advanced imaging, rehabilitation services, and internationally recognised clinical protocols, serving a diverse international patient population.
Role Overview
- Position: Consultant / Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon
- Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty hospital – Orthopedic Surgery Department
- Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
- Practice Model: Outpatient, inpatient, and surgical care with access to rehabilitation and physiotherapy services
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including surgical and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions, trauma cases, and degenerative disorders.
Key Responsibilities – Orthopedic Surgery
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles
- Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries, including fracture fixation, joint replacements, and arthroscopic procedures
- Evaluate and treat trauma patients, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including surgical and conservative management approaches
- Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Manage chronic orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis, spine disorders, and sports injuries
- Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery processes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and orthopedic programs
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based surgical protocols and patient safety standards
Eligibility & Board Recognition
Applications are welcome from physicians holding recognised Orthopedic Surgery specialist qualifications such as:
- American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)
- UK CCT / FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics)
- European Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian Fellowship (FRACS – Orthopedic Surgery)
- Arab Board of Orthopedic Surgery
- FCPS (Orthopedic Surgery)
- Or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.

Requirements
- •Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
- •Board Certified Surgeon qualification
- •Recognised Orthopedic Surgery specialist qualifications (e.g., ABOS, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, FCPS, or equivalent)
