Talentspoc is urgently seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatologist / Neonatal Medicine Specialist to join a leading healthcare institution. The successful candidate will provide expert care for newborn infants, particularly those who are premature or critically ill, in a multidisciplinary clinical setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care with a focus on improving patient outcomes and supporting families during critical periods.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat newborns with a broad range of medical conditions including prematurity, congenital disorders, and perinatal complications.
- Provide comprehensive management in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including invasive procedures like intubation and central line placement.
- Work collaboratively with pediatricians, obstetricians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical rounds.
- Counsel and support parents and families regarding neonatal health issues and care plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records and documentation.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement projects, clinical audits, and research initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Medicine / Pediatrics (MD, DNB, Fellowship, MRCPCH, Arab Board, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing as a Neonatologist or Neonatal Medicine Specialist.
- Valid Oman Ministry of Health (MoH) license or eligibility to obtain the same.
- Proven skills in neonatal resuscitation and intensive care procedures.
- Strong clinical decision-making capabilities with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
