Role Overview
• Position: Consultant / Specialist Internal Medicine Physician
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty hospital – Internal Medicine Department
• Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
• Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient adult care with access to ICU and subspecialty support
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care for adult patients, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities – Internal Medicine
• Provide comprehensive medical care for adult patients, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases
• Conduct detailed medical evaluations, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments
• Manage common and complex conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory disorders, and infectious diseases
• Deliver preventive healthcare services, including health screenings, lifestyle counselling, and risk factor management
• Diagnose and manage acute medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate inpatient care
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
• Coordinate care with subspecialists such as cardiologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, and pulmonologists
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and internal medicine programs
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical protocols and patient safety standards
Requirements
Eligibility & Board Recognition

• American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
• UK CCT / MRCP / FRCP
• European Board Certification
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian Fellowship (FRACP – Internal Medicine)
• Arab Board of Internal Medicine
• FCPS (Internal Medicine)
• Or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided where applicable.
