Job Summary
A leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT) to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. The role involves managing complex ENT cases, performing advanced procedures, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and surgical expertise in Otolaryngology, with a recognized Western postgraduate qualification and experience in a tertiary or leading private hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions.
- Perform elective and emergency ENT procedures and surgeries.
- Manage complex conditions involving the ear, nose, paranasal sinuses, throat, larynx, and head and neck.
- Perform appropriate endoscopic, diagnostic, and surgical ENT procedures.
- Manage chronic sinus disease, nasal obstruction, hearing disorders, otitis, tonsillar and adenoid conditions, and airway disorders.
- Assess and manage voice, swallowing, and balance disorders.
- Evaluate and manage head and neck masses and other complex ENT presentations.
- Provide preoperative, operative, and postoperative patient care.
- Work closely with Audiology, Radiology, Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Paediatrics, and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical governance, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development.
- Medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT.
- Recognized Western qualification such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, German Facharzt in Otorhinolaryngology (HNO), or equivalent recognized European qualification.
- Consultant-level clinical and surgical experience in Otolaryngology.
- Strong experience managing complex ENT conditions and performing a broad range of ENT procedures.
- Experience in a tertiary, multispecialty, or leading private hospital is preferred.
- Subspecialty expertise in areas such as Rhinology, Otology/Neurotology, Head & Neck Surgery, Paediatric ENT, or Laryngology is an advantage.
