We are looking for an experienced Consultant Oncologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis and comprehensive management of adult cancer patients and will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized, evidence-based oncology care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with a wide range of cancers.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, pathology, imaging, and molecular/biomarker information where applicable.
- Manage systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy within the physician’s scope of practice.
- Monitor treatment response, manage treatment-related adverse effects, and adjust therapy as clinically indicated.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
- Provide cancer surveillance, follow-up, and survivorship care.
- Communicate diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive-care plans clearly with patients and their families.
- Coordinate referrals and supportive services including palliative and symptom-management care when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient-safety standards.
- Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, research, and continuing medical education activities.
- Support the development and implementation of evidence-based oncology protocols and clinical pathways.
Qualifications
• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Medical Oncology / Clinical Oncology.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience in Medical Oncology.
• Strong clinical experience in the management of adult oncology patients.
• Experience with systemic cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and endocrine therapy.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary oncology teams.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills.
