We are looking for an experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing a wide range of acute and emergency medical conditions and be confident in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Manage medical, surgical, trauma, and other acute emergency presentations.
• Perform emergency procedures and resuscitation as required.
• Lead the management of critically ill and unstable patients.
• Coordinate with specialists, intensivists, surgeons, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in trauma and medical emergency response.
• Ensure timely diagnosis, stabilization, treatment, and appropriate disposition of patients.
• Supervise and support junior physicians, residents, and emergency department staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement, clinical governance, and audit activities.
• Contribute to education, training, and continuing medical education programs.
• Promote evidence-based emergency medicine practices and high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Strong experience in adult emergency care, acute medical emergencies, trauma, and resuscitation.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and relevant emergency/trauma certifications preferred.
• Experience managing critically ill patients and complex emergency presentations.
• Eligible for DOH Consultant classification/license in Abu Dhabi.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
