A leading healthcare group in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its specialist mental health team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for children and adolescents with a range of emotional, behavioural, developmental, and psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for children and adolescents.
⢠Assess and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions.
⢠Evaluate developmental, emotional, behavioural, and social concerns affecting children and adolescents.
⢠Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
⢠Provide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
⢠Work closely with parents, caregivers, schools, psychologists, therapists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
⢠Conduct risk assessments and provide appropriate management for patients presenting with complex mental health needs.
⢠Provide counselling and psychoeducation to patients and their families.
⢠Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with healthcare and regulatory standards.
⢠Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching activities.
⢠Support early identification and intervention for children and adolescents with mental health and developmental concerns.
Medical degree from a recognised medical institution.
Recognised postgraduate qualification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry / Psychiatry or an equivalent specialty qualification.
Consultant-level experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Experience managing children and adolescents with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions.
Candidates with Western qualifications or internationally recognised board certification are preferred.
Eligibility for DOH (Abu Dhabi) licensing/registration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements
