<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p>As a <strong>Compliance Associate at Tamara</strong>, you will play a key role in ensuring that all company operations, products, and communications align with <strong>SAMA’s regulatory requirements</strong> and Tamara’s internal governance standards. Operating under the <strong>Financing Sector</strong> and preparing for Tamara’s upcoming transition to the <strong>Payments Sector</strong>, you will help maintain a robust compliance framework that promotes accountability, transparency, and readiness for regulatory oversight.</p>
<p>You will support the department in reviewing policies, contracts, products, and advertisements; conducting internal inspections; preparing regulatory submissions; and ensuring all compliance activities are <strong>properly documented and traceable</strong>. Through your work, you will help safeguard Tamara’s regulatory standing while enabling responsible business growth and innovation.</p>

<p><strong>Your responsibilities </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support as a <strong>point of contact with SAMA</strong> by helping the team prepare responses, track requests, and organize regulatory communications and inspections.</li>
<li>Help prepare and submit <strong>regulatory reports</strong>, both periodic and ad-hoc, by coordinating with other teams to collect and verify the required information.</li>
<li>Assist in conducting <strong>compliance reviews and inspections</strong> to check that internal practices meet SAMA’s regulations and company policies.</li>
<li>Review <strong>policies, contracts, products, and marketing materials</strong> with guidance from senior team members to make sure they follow regulatory and consumer-protection requirements.</li>
<li>Work closely with business teams to <strong>help them understand regulatory expectations</strong> and ensure new initiatives are compliant before launch.</li>
<li>Help develop and update <strong>compliance guides, trackers, and awareness materials</strong> to support different departments.</li>
<li>Support in maintaining and updating the <strong>Annual Compliance Plan</strong>, tracking deadlines, progress, and follow-up actions.</li>
<li>Make sure that <strong>all compliance activities, reports, and communications with SAMA</strong> are clearly documented and easy to trace for future reference.</li>
<li>Track and follow up on <strong>open compliance observations</strong> to ensure they are resolved within the agreed timelines.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your Expertise</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Law, Business Administration,Finance or a related field</strong>.</li>
<li>0–2 years of experience in <strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong>, ideally within <strong>Fintech, Consumer Finance, or Payments</strong>.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of<strong> SAMA’s regulatory landscape</strong>,<strong> </strong>including frameworks governing <strong>finance companies, BNPL, and payment service providers.</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Basic understanding of <strong>SAMA’s finance and payments regulations</strong>, with eagerness to learn more through hands-on experience.</li>
<li>Strong <strong>analytical and organizational skills</strong> to review information, spot gaps, and support regulatory reporting.</li>
<li>Good <strong>documentation and reporting skills</strong>, ensuring accuracy and traceability in all compliance activities.</li>
<li>Clear and professional <strong>communication skills</strong> in both <strong>Arabic and English</strong> for working with internal teams and regulators.</li>
<li>Strong <strong>collaboration and coordination abilities</strong> to support cross-functional teams in meeting compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining complete <strong>records of compliance reviews, submissions, and communications</strong>.</li>
