At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay & Kimpton Sevn Dubai, we are seeking a Cluster Executive Pastry Chef to lead and elevate pastry, bakery, dessert, and confectionery operations across two distinctive luxury and lifestyle brands.

This role is designed for a highly creative, quality-driven, and commercially minded culinary leader who understands that exceptional pastry experiences combine artistry, innovation, consistency, and operational excellence—ensuring every dessert, pastry, cake, bakery item, afternoon tea offering, and special occasion creation delights guests while reflecting the unique identity of each brand.

You will shape the pastry vision across the cluster—creating memorable dessert experiences, inspiring culinary teams, and ensuring every pastry offering reflects the highest standards of taste, presentation, innovation, and execution.

The Gig

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Culinary, the Cluster Executive Pastry Chef will oversee pastry and bakery operations for InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay and Kimpton Sevn Dubai.

You will be accountable for pastry innovation, product quality, team performance, menu development, operational excellence, and commercial success across the cluster.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are the same; your responsibilities will span a range of creative, operational, and leadership activities, including but not limited to:

Pastry Leadership & Culinary Innovation

• Develop and execute the cluster pastry vision across both properties

• Create signature desserts, cakes, pastries, bakery items, and seasonal specialties

• Drive innovation while maintaining brand consistency and guest appeal

• Ensure pastry offerings remain competitive, relevant, and trend-conscious

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily pastry and bakery operations across all outlets and events

• Ensure consistency in preparation, presentation, quality, and taste

• Maintain HACCP, food safety, and hygiene compliance standards

• Monitor production planning to optimize efficiency and minimize waste

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and inspire pastry teams across both properties

• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• Support succession planning and talent development initiatives

• Conduct training and skills development programs for pastry colleagues

Menu Development & Guest Experience

• Develop dessert menus, bakery programs, afternoon tea concepts, and specialty offerings

• Create bespoke pastry experiences for events, celebrations, and VIP guests

• Collaborate with F&B and Marketing teams on promotions and seasonal campaigns

• Continuously enhance the guest experience through innovation and storytelling

Pre-Opening Pastry Excellence (Kimpton Sevn Dubai)

• Recruit and develop the pre-opening pastry team

• Design and implement pastry concepts, recipes, and operational standards

• Establish production workflows, equipment requirements, and quality controls

• Lead pastry readiness activities, tastings, and trial operations

Financial & Commercial Performance

• Manage food cost targets and pastry department budgets

• Control waste while maintaining exceptional quality standards

• Optimize menu engineering and profitability of pastry offerings

• Support revenue generation through innovative pastry concepts and promotions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Culinary, Restaurants & Bars, Banquets, Events, Marketing, and Commercial teams

• Support special events, launches, weddings, and VIP experiences

• Collaborate on brand activations and guest engagement initiatives

• Contribute to cluster culinary strategy and innovation programs

What We Need From You

Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following qualifications and experience:

Education

• Diploma, Certification, or Degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred

Experience

• 8–12 years of progressive pastry leadership experience in luxury hotels or premium hospitality environments

• Experience leading multi-outlet pastry operations strongly preferred

• Pre-opening experience highly desirable

• Strong expertise in contemporary pastry, bakery, desserts, chocolate work, and specialty confectionery

• Proven success in menu development, innovation, and commercial performance
