Job Opening: Chief Accountant
We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will combine robust technical accounting expertise with strong leadership capabilities to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic oversight.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution.
- Master’s degree or professional postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
- Professional Certifications:
- Active or partial professional credentials such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 3 years serving in a Chief Accountant or similar supervisory/leadership capacity.
- Technical & Soft Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Odoo ERP or other reputable accounting software packages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and local statutory regulations, laws, and compliance standards.
- Proven expertise in executing efficient monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close processes.
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive management reports to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Hands-on experience in managing and filing compliance returns, including VAT (Value Added Tax) and WHT (Withholding Tax), in alignment with statutory deadlines and local tax regulations.
