Summary: The Associate Director of Global IT & Security is a senior leadership role responsible for translating Huda Beauty’s global IT strategy into operational reality. Reporting directly to the VP of Technology, this role owns the execution of enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and workplace technology programmes, driving a secure, scalable, and highly automated technology environment while acting as a key business partner across all regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Global Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Own the day-to-day management and strategic evolution of the global Microsoft technology ecosystem including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and endpoint management, supporting both Windows and macOS environments globally.
- Ensure highly available, secure, and scalable technology services across all regions.
- Experience managing enterprise storage platforms, NAS environments, cloud storage architectures and infrastructure supporting large-scale media and digital asset workflows.
- Own the execution of the global Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategy, partnering with the VP of Technology to ensure critical services, data, and operations can be recovered within agreed business objectives.
- Contribute to defining and own the maintenance of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, security, and workplace technology standards and roadmaps.
- Drive standardization and simplification across the technology landscape.Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Own the execution of the global cybersecurity strategy and security operations framework, translating VP-level direction into operational controls and measurable outcomes.
- Establish and maintain data governance, classification, retention, and access control standards across enterprise platforms.
- Lead vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and security governance.
- Maintain security policies, standards, and controls aligned with industry best practices.
- Partner with external security providers to maintain a proactive security posture.Automation & Operational Excellence
- Drive automation initiatives across IT operations, security, provisioning, monitoring, and support processes.
- Reduce operational complexity through modern tooling, integrations, and self-service capabilities.
- Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and service performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to optimize technology spend while improving service quality.Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Infrastructure and Security team, including senior technical specialists and team leads, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Manage strategic relationships with MSPs and technology vendors.
- Ensure partners deliver against agreed service levels and business objectives.
- Build a high-performing, customer-focused technology function.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management or technical leadership role operating at or near Director level.
- Experience managing global infrastructure and security environments.
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem expertise (Azure, M365, Intune, Defender, Entra ID) supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001.
- Proven track record of leading transformation and automation initiatives that deliver measurable reduction in manual operational effort.
- Demonstrable history of improving security posture through structured vulnerability management, policy enforcement, and governance frameworks.
- Experience owning infrastructure availability and resilience targets, with a strong grasp of SLA management and service continuity planning.
- Committed to delivering high user satisfaction and service quality, using data-driven KPIs to continuously improve the technology experience across the business.
- Familiarity with AI governance principles and a forward-thinking approach to responsible technology adoption across enterprise environments.
- Track record of driving cost optimisation and vendor efficiency, with the commercial awareness to balance performance, value, and strategic fit.
