Key Result Areas:
- Develop and distribute original content for presentations, articles, blogs, press releases, and social for Al-Mujadilah team
- Ensure that all content review aligns with the Al-Mujadilah key messages, style guide, and tone to ensure consistency and relevance to target audiences
- Support the Public Relations activities for Al-Mujadilah, respond to media inquiries, which may include emergencies, and provide relevant information to the news media, generating positive press coverage of departmental activities.
- Help with all media activities, media training, and interviews prep and coordination between speakers and the media outlets
- Draft, edit, and design Al-Mujadilah’s annual reports with the support of relevant team members.
- Assist the Executive Director with all critical communications (letters, emails & presentations) to various stakeholders
- Oversee workshops design, coordination, and facilitation organized by the comms team or other teams
- Identify speaking opportunities for the leadership and the team and support with speech writing
- Monitor news coverage and maintain files of news clippings, representing the department with other emergency services agencies
- Oversee the website content development and updates
- Oversee social media platforms’ content generation and editing
- Plan and coordinate Al-Mujadilah events and conferences in collaboration with other Al-Mujadilah team members.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study.
- 2-5 years of relevant full-time work experience in Communications and Public Relations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
