Job Description

We are currently looking for Wholesale Business Analyst for our Qatar operations

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university preferably in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international or regional bank.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Trade Finance, Cash Management, Transaction Banking Operations, or Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, business requirements documentation (BRDs), and solution implementation.
• Exposure to corporate or wholesale banking environments, preferably within Qatar or the GCC market.
• Experience supporting digital banking, process automation, system implementation, or transaction banking transformation projects.Required Special Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations, and practices.
• Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.

• Strong business analysis capabilities including requirements gathering (BRS/BRD), user stories, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution documentation.
• Good understanding of Cash Management, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Virtual Accounts, and transaction banking operating models.
• Experience with digital transformation, process automation, data analytics, UAT, and implementation of transaction banking platforms and solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions

A. Shareholder & Financial:

• Support revenue growth initiatives through analysis of transaction banking performance, client behaviour, fee income trends, and product utilization.
• Identify revenue leakage, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve fee realization through process optimization and digitization initiatives.
• Deliver business insights, management reporting, and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making and transaction banking growth objectives.
• Implements KPI’s and best practices for the Business Analyst role.
• Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
• Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the key operational, financial, and performance drivers impacting transaction banking revenue and business outcomes.

B. Customer (Internal & External):

• Support business teams and clients by analysing transaction banking requirements and assisting in the design and implementation of cash management and trade finance solutions.
• Facilitate effective communication between clients, business units, operations, product teams, and technology functions to ensure successful delivery of solutions and process improvements.
• Assist in enhancing customer experience by identifying process inefficiencies, supporting digital initiatives, and ensuring smooth onboarding and adoption of transaction banking platforms.
• To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s products and seek solutions to their requests.
• Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
• Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
• Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.

C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

• Analyse, document, and optimize end-to-end Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Supply Chain Finance processes to improve operational efficiency, client experience, and fee realization.
• Ensure business requirements, process designs, and solution specifications comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, operational controls, and risk management standards.
• Support implementation of digital trade and cash management initiatives through process mapping, requirements management, system testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process re-engineering, and workflow simplification to enhance transaction banking effectiveness and reduce manual intervention.
• Continuously improve business analysis methodologies, process documentation standards, and solution delivery practices to support business objectives.
• Set examples by leading improvement initiatives through cross-functional teams ensuring successes.
• Identify and encourage people to adopt practices better than the industry standard.
• Continuously encourage and recognise the importance of thinking out-of-the-box within the team.
• Encourage, solicit and reward innovative ideas even in day-to-day issues.
