Job Summary
Support Machine Shop operations by managing the receipt, storage, and documentation of raw materials, machined components, and consumables. Ensure accurate inventory records, timely system updates, and effective coordination with production, quality, and supply chain teams to support on-time manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, tooling, consumables, and machined parts against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Process goods receipts and close purchase orders in the JDE system while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Issue materials and tooling to the Machine Shop and monitor inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
- Assist the Quality Control team in maintaining documentation required for inspections, certifications, and invoicing.
- Create and maintain daily warehouse activity logs, inventory transactions, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with the Machine Shop, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material availability and stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse in accordance with 5S, company, and HSE standards.
- Perform stock counts and support inventory reconciliation activities.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory operations, preferably in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Experience using ERP systems (JDE preferred) and inventory management processes.
- Basic understanding of machine shop materials, tooling, and production workflows is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
