Overview Of The Role:
• The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and delivering a positive customer experience. They carry out a variety of operational duties as delegated by the store management team, including maintaining store cleanliness and visual presentation standards. A key focus is on creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent service to enhance customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do:
Customer Service
• Creates a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code
• Greets customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business like greeting
• Provides customers with current relevant information about the product
• Provides quality service in the fitting rooms, follows up with customers in a timely manner
Sales and Checkout
• Provides efficient service at the cash wrap, offers gift cards, maintains cash wrap cleanliness and captures customer information in the database
• Attempts to add on to the sale by recommending complementary products
• Sincerely thanks all customers for shopping as they exit the store, and invites them back
Store Maintenance
• Creates a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness
• Maintains cash wrap cleanliness
• Assists in housekeeping duties as assigned by the store management team
Required Skills To Be Successful:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Proficiency in utilizing point-of-sale systems
What Qualifies You For The Role:
• High School Degree
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience
• Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop to create visuals and plans
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting
• Capacity to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
