Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will lead the end-to-end product marketing strategy across the KAYALI portfolio, managing the lifecycle of products from concept and assortment planning through to launch execution and post-launch performance optimization.
Working cross-functionally with Product Development, Commercial, Creative, Sales & Education, Demand Planning, and Global Brand Marketing teams, this role will be responsible for developing compelling product positioning, pricing architecture, assortment strategies, launch plans, and business recommendations that drive growth and strengthen KAYALI's market leadership.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, consumer obsession, and a deep understanding of the global beauty and fragrance landscape.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Lead the global product marketing strategy across fragrance and future category expansions.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap in partnership with Product Development and leadership teams.
- Identify whitespace opportunities, category expansion opportunities, and consumer-led innovation opportunities.
- Evaluate portfolio performance and recommend actions to optimize productivity, profitability, and growth.
- Build business cases and commercial rationale for new product initiatives.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch analysis.Assortment Planning & Pricing Architecture
- Develop global assortment strategies across core, seasonal, limited-edition, and innovation launches.
- Define pricing strategies and price architecture across product categories, sizes, formats, and collections.
- Evaluate assortment gaps and opportunities to maximize consumer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to establish pricing recommendations aligned with market dynamics and business objectives.
- Monitor competitive pricing landscapes and recommend adjustments where appropriate.
- Ensure product assortment supports both DTC and retail channel objectives.Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence
- Translate consumer insights, social listening, and market research into actionable product recommendations.
- Monitor global beauty, fragrance, and lifestyle trends.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
- Partner with insights teams to understand evolving consumer behaviors and purchasing patterns.
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks within the category.Product Positioning & Storytelling
- Develop product positioning frameworks and messaging strategies for all launches.
- Define key product claims, benefits, reasons-to-believe, and consumer value propositions.
- Create compelling product narratives that align with KAYALI's brand vision.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across all consumer touchpoints.
- Support education and training teams with product knowledge and storytelling materials.Launch Strategy & Go-to-Market Planning
- Lead the development of comprehensive global launch strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial, PR, Social, Brand Marketing, and Education teams to ensure successful execution.
- Define launch objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Develop launch toolkits, positioning documents, and commercial sell-in materials.
- Ensure launch strategies are adapted appropriately across global markets and retail partners.
- Track launch performance and recommend optimization opportunities.Business Performance & Analytics
- Monitor product performance against revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
- Analyze sell-through, consumer engagement, and commercial performance metrics.
- Deliver regular product performance reviews and business recommendations.
- Use data and insights to drive decision-making and future innovation priorities.
- Partner with Finance and Demand Planning teams on forecasting and inventory planning.Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the central connector between Product Development, Commercial, Marketing, Creative, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Lead alignment meetings and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the product lifecycle.
- Influence key business decisions through strategic recommendations and consumer-led insights.
- Foster collaboration across global teams and markets.Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Category Management, Brand Marketing, or Commercial Strategy within beauty, fragrance, luxury, or consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and commercialization.
- Experience developing pricing strategies and assortment architectures.
- Proven track record of leading successful product launches.
- Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into business recommendations.
- Experience working cross-functionally within global organizations.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using consumer insights and market intelligence to drive product decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools.Benefits
