Technician - Diagnostic

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Diagnosis

• Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify faults.
• Interpret fault codes, live data, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Identify root cause of failures, not just symptoms.2. Repair Support

• Provide clear diagnostic reports and repair recommendations.
• Support technicians in resolving complex technical issues.
• Verify repairs and confirm fault resolution before vehicle release.3. Technical Procedures

• Follow manufacturer repair manuals and diagnostic procedures.
• Ensure all repairs comply with OEM standards and safety guidelines.
• Perform software updates, calibrations, and system programming when required.4. Quality Control

• Reduce repeat repairs and comebacks through accurate diagnosis.
• Perform final checks on critical repairs.
• Ensure high repair quality and first-time fix rate.5. Documentation

• Record diagnostic findings and repair actions clearly on job cards.
• Provide detailed reports for warranty and technical cases.
• Support technical reports to manufacturer when required.6. Equipment and Tools

• Use diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and special tools properly.
• Maintain diagnostic equipment in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures when handling vehicles and tools.Required Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years experience as automotive technician, preferably in dealership
• Experience with diagnostic tools and OEM systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manualsRequired Skills:
