Specialist Psychiatrist | GCC | Immediate Hiring

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare facility in the GCC. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, clinical interviews, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications and assess treatment response.
• Provide appropriate psychotherapy and counseling within the scope of qualifications.
• Manage patients with depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions.
• Assess and manage patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies and acute behavioral disturbances.
• Monitor patients for medication side effects, treatment response, and clinical progress.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and relapse prevention.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other medical specialists.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Ensure compliance with the relevant GCC healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, patient safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in on-call duties and emergency psychiatric coverage as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MD / DNB / MRCPsych / Arab Board / equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Valid or eligible medical license from the relevant GCC healthcare authority.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Psychiatrist.
• Strong clinical experience in adult psychiatry and management of common and complex psychiatric conditions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care.
