Job Purpose
Provides expert advice to Subsurface and Drilling Teams in the areas of Technology, Technical Challenges, Practices and Knowledge Sharing. This requires someone with breadth and depth of technical knowledge and experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The scope of the job covers the following major areas.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Maintain contacts with shareholders and industry on latest advances in Geophysics, exploration processes, reservoir characterization and evaluation, static reservoir modeling, advanced integration of seismic interpretation results, software and hardware.
Provide asset teams with expert advice and consultation in technical related studies & activities that directly impact Company s Full Field Development Plans.
Provide advice on technologies and practices related to Geophysics and promotes their application in and effective integration of the key aspects of Geophysics with other disciplines.
Provides assurance to Leadership and Shareholders that project studies are conducted as per Company Standards and that uncertainties relative to seismic are properly evaluated.
Provide expert advice on major Geophysical activities, reservoir development, reservoir management and seismic reservoir characterization studies leading to the 3D Geological Models of the hydrocarbon resource.
Application of technology related to geophysics for reservoir monitoring/management purposes (i.e. 4D, borehole seismic monitoring, cross-well monitoring ).
Regional seismic interpretation work and exploration/appraisal strategy with integration of well data, geological data and geo-mechanical studies to advice on reservoir management implications.
Use of sequence stratigraphy for seismic interpretation to constrain static model frameworks and Integration of seismic attributes in the modeling process.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor/Master Degree in Geophysics or geology
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
15 years of varied experience in O&G, preferably in operational environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Direct Reports: As per organization chart
Indirect Reports: As per organization chart
Requirements
- •Bachelor/Master Degree in Geophysics or Geology
- •Minimum 15 years of varied experience in Oil & Gas
- •At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- •Expertise in reservoir characterization and evaluation
- •Knowledge of static reservoir modeling
- •Experience with 4D, borehole, and cross-well seismic monitoring
- •Proficiency in sequence stratigraphy for seismic interpretation
- •Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
