We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Critical Care physician to join our multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. The role involves managing complex medical and surgical ICU cases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering evidence-based care in accordance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Provide advanced life support, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and organ support.
- Manage patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, shock, trauma, postoperative complications, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Perform critical care procedures including central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy (where credentialed), chest tube insertion, and bedside ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds with specialists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure timely interventions.
- Provide pre- and post-operative critical care management.
- Respond to emergency situations, rapid response calls, and cardiac arrest activations.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and patient safety programs.
- Supervise junior physicians and contribute to education, training, and mentoring.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME), research, and departmental academic activities.
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, and international best practices.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Anesthesia with Critical Care, Internal Medicine with Critical Care, or equivalent recognized specialty.
- Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Specialist Critical Care, or eligibility to obtain one.
- International board certification is preferred.

Requirements
