Overview Of The Role:

What You Will Do:
General
• Provide comprehensive cardiology care to patients according to best-evidence standards.
• Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns.
• Perform tests to assess the health of patients' hearts and cardiovascular systems.
• Use medical imaging equipment for diagnosis and treatment of heart/cardiovascular conditions.
• Prescribe medications and provide support for heart/cardiovascular disease management.
• Offer advice to patients receiving long-term care and educate junior staff as necessary.
• Participate in on-call rosters and oversee professional development of junior medical staff.
• Engage in clinical audits and review/planning activities for departmental development.
• Promote the cardiology department to the public and medical community of the UAE.
• Ensure ongoing competency maintenance in cardiology and perform assigned duties within scope.
• Liaise with patients, families, and other medical professionals ensuring quality care.
• Commit to continuing medical education and demonstrate quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure patient safety and ethical medical practices per local regulations.
• Reach informed diagnoses based on history, examinations, and test results.
• Prescribe and interpret diagnostic tests to gain information about pathologies.
• Develop healthcare management plans in consultation with patients.
• Provide holistic care and health education, managing admissions and discharges.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments using clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• Maintain communication with other specialist services to optimize patient care.
• Prescribe medications following practice-based systems and protocols.
• Perform all duties associated with a Specialist Cardiologist alongside primary care providers.
Required Skills To Be Successful:

What Qualifies You For The Role:
• MBBS or MBchB or equivalent with specialty qualification recognized by Dubai Health Authority or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of specialist level experience in cardiology since gaining higher qualification.
• Fluency in English with Arabic speaking skills as an advantage.
• Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support.
