Crisis and Emergency Centre Operations
- Support day-to-day operations within the crisis and emergency management centre in line with GCAA policies, business requirements, local legislation standards and key stakeholder expectations.
- Assist the activation of GCAA emergency and crisis management centre after receiving the activation notice from National Operation Centre (NOC) or as and when required.
- Produce regular reports on the status of business resilience program at GCAA to NCEMA
- Follow up on actions taken by GCAA incident management team and other sectors against incident notification raised by National Operation Centre (NOC).
- Assist the Head – Crisis and Emergency Centre Operations in the preparation of crisis exercises, simulation tests, and subsequent follow-up on the results with all relevant partners and stakeholders.
- Assist in conducting reviews assessments of all matters within the centre, including issues, trends, data, and reports sourced from the UAE aviation industry and the government authorities, in order to ensure proactive identification of risks and recommend mitigation actions.
- Assist the Head – Crisis and Emergency Centre Operations in the preparation of national plans and the representation of the GCAA in the issues and subjects of emergencies, crises, and disasters under the umbrella of the NCEMA.
Crisis and Emergencies Communication Management
- Maintain constant effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities whilst promptly reporting all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organisation are delivered in the most effective manner.
- Facilitate communications and correspondences with regard crisis management.
- Raise awareness of GCAA crisis management framework and operations centre amongst staff.
Crisis & Emergency Policies, Procedures and Manuals
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Document Management
- Organise and maintain comprehensive records of relevant reports, minutes of meetings and general documents to ensure an accurate record and evidence base using the standard system
- Receive, classify, issue, consolidate and/or summarise documents, information, as well as maintaining records of documents processed to ensure compliance with standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of crisis and emergency management systems, processes, and practices taking into account global best standards to achieve cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Knowledge and Experiences:
A degree in a relevant discipline with a total of 2 years’ experience (preferably in the field of crises management).
