The Senior Manager – Platform SDLC Engineer is a senior technical leadership position within Deeplight consultancy, embedded directly within a major banking client. The role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and enforcement of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) frameworks across the bank's core engineering and AI platforms. Serving as a crucial link between development squads, security teams, and senior risk stakeholders, this position ensures that security controls are seamlessly integrated into automated CI/CD pipelines, upholding Deeplight’s standards of technical integrity and professional excellence in a regulated environment.

Your responsibilities in this role include:

• Defining, deploying, and standardizing secure development frameworks and guardrails across all software and data platform engineering workstreams.
• Designing and integrating automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning) directly into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Overseeing the identification, triaging, and remediation of code-level and infrastructure vulnerabilities before deployment to production environments.
• Validating all software releases meet internal security baselines, regulatory compliance mandates, and automated governance gates.
• Providing technical guidance to platform and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of shared security responsibility (Shift-Left) across delivery teams.
• Providing clear visibility into pipeline security metrics, compliance health, and systemic risks to senior technical and risk leadership.Coaching and Management

Requirements

We need you to have:

• A minimum of 6 years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software development, with at least 3 years dedicated to a specialized DevSecOps or Application Security role.
• Documented experience implementing secure delivery pipelines within a highly regulated banking or financial services institution.
• Prior experience in a client-facing professional services or consultancy capacity, managing delivery timelines and client stakeholder expectations.
• Hands-on experience securing and auditing IaC templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Advanced capability in automating security controls within modern DevOps architectures and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Deep knowledge of security-by-design principles and industry-standard SSDLC frameworks (e.g., OWASP SAMM, NIST SSDF, BSIMM).
• Practical proficiency in configuring and securing enterprise orchestration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Competence in interpreting automated security scan results, eliminating false positives, and recommending precise code or configuration fixes.
• The ability to articulate complex security flaws and remediation strategies clearly to both software developers and senior risk officer.

It would be great if you have:

• Relevant designations such as CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional), AWS/Azure Security Specialties, or DevSecOps certifications.
• Familiarity with securing data engineering pipelines and emerging MLOps security practices.
• Experience conducting structured architectural threat modeling sessions (e.g., using STRIDE) during the initial design phases of a projeBenefits
