Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Platform Engineer - Riyadh, KSA

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Virtualization, Networking, OpenShift, IBM Cloud PAK, Storage, and Backup solutions.

The ideal candidate will lead the design, deployment, optimization, and support of enterprise-grade hybrid cloud and containerized environments while ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V / KVM).
• Architect and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Deploy and support IBM Cloud PAK solutions across infrastructure platforms.
• Configure and manage enterprise networking components (L2/L3, VLANs, routing, firewall integrations).
• Design and maintain enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS, block/file storage).
• Implement and manage backup & disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform infrastructure capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Ensure high availability, security hardening, and compliance adherence.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure incidents.
• Collaborate with application teams, security teams, and vendors for integrated solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.Requirements

Virtualization

• VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
• Hyper-V or KVM (preferred)

Containerization & Cloud

• Red Hat OpenShift (cluster deployment, operators, troubleshooting)
• Kubernetes fundamentals
• IBM Cloud PAK architecture & deployment

Networking

• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewall policies
• Load balancing concepts
• Data center network architecture

Storage

• SAN/NAS architecture
• Storage provisioning & performance tuning
• Replication technologies

Backup & DR

• Enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect)
• DR planning & testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments is a plus.
• Relevant certifications preferred (VMware VCP, Red Hat, IBM, etc.).
