Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a highly experienced Senior Director - HSE to lead and oversee the Health, Safety, and Environment functions within our dynamic organization. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental management across all company operations and projects.
The Senior Director - HSE will be responsible for developing strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance with all local and international HSE regulations, and cultivating a proactive safety culture that supports Qiddiya's commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s comprehensive HSE strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize incidents and environmental impact.
• Establish and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all departments.
• Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance through training, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to embed HSE considerations into all operational processes and decision-making.
• Represent Qiddiya in dealings with regulatory bodies, contractors, and external partners on HSE matters.
• Monitor HSE metrics and report performance to senior management, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Promote employee engagement and awareness programs related to health, safety, and environmental responsibility.Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in HSE within large-scale industrial, construction, or development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices relevant to the region and industry.
• Proven capability in developing and managing successful HSE programs and initiatives.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
• Experience working within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.Benefits
