Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Environmental Engineer to join our growing site supervison team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will lead the implementation of environmental projects while ensuring compliance with local and international environmental standards. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractor, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver sustainable solutions that protect our environment and support organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on environmental protection and sustainability initiatives in the region.
• Scope, manage, and coordinate environmental engineering projects, including environmental site assessments, remediation projects, hydrogeological assessments, and waste management initiatives
• Develop comprehensive project proposals and ensure projects are delivered on time and within the design specifications
• Oversee and provide technical direction on fieldwork activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, environmental testing, and data collection
• Analyze environmental data, prepare detailed technical reports, and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
• Ensure all projects comply with Saudi Arabian environmental regulations, international standards, and organizational policies
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential environmental risks
• Liaise with high-profile clients, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to understand project requirements and maintain strong professional relationships
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical and procedural matters
• Utilize modeling software and analytical tools to assess environmental conditions and predict outcomes
• Coordinate field investigations and supervise contractors to ensure quality standards and safety protocols are maintained
• Stay current with emerging environmental technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes in the industry
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives
Qualifications
**Required Education & Certifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or related Science or Engineering discipline
• Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) or equivalent professional certification in good standing (preferred)**Required Experience:**
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in environmental engineering, project management, or environmental consulting
• Proven experience managing or coordinating environmental site assessments, remediation projects, and hydrogeological studies
• Hands-on field experience with soil and groundwater sampling, environmental testing, and field hydraulic conductivity testing
• Experience preparing environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
• Experience working with environmental regulations and compliance frameworks**Required Skills & Competencies:**
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Projects, Access, Outlook)
• Strong proficiency with environmental assessment software, data analysis tools, and technical reporting platforms
• Proficiency with CAD or GIS software for environmental mapping and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to think creatively, conduct independent research, and develop innovative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent client relationship management skills**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience with environmental modeling software and predictive analysis tools
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and standards
• Familiarity with international environmental compliance frameworks
• Experience in sustainability and green engineering principles
• Background in waste management or environmental remediation technologies
• Multilingual capabilities (Arabic language skills would be considered an asset)
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
• Certification in environmental management systems (ISO 14001) or related credentials**Domain Expertise:**
