About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design System Manager to lead and accelerate the development, governance, and adoption of our enterprise design system. This is a short-term, high-impact contract role focused on establishing strong foundations, improving UI consistency, and enabling scalable frontend practices across digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is strategic yet hands-on, capable of quickly assessing the current state, defining a clear roadmap, and delivering measurable improvements within a 3-month engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess the current state of the design system and identify gaps
• Define and execute a focused 3-month roadmap with clear deliverables
• Establish governance frameworks and contribution models
• Lead development or refinement of reusable UI components, tokens, and patterns
• Align UX, frontend engineering, and brand standards
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and performance best practices
• Implement documentation standards and version control processes
• Drive stakeholder alignment and adoption across product teams
• Provide mentorship and recommendations for long-term sustainabilityRequirements
• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX, frontend engineering, or digital product development
• Proven experience building or scaling enterprise design systems
• Strong expertise in component-based architecture and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
• Deep understanding of design tokens, theming, and UI governance
• Experience implementing accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Ability to deliver results in short, high-impact engagements
Requirements
- •8+ years of experience in UI/UX, frontend engineering, or digital product development
- •Proven experience building or scaling enterprise design systems
