As Sales Manager, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our pillars of Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences. I will safeguard these and ensure all departmental directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the property.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, I will manage the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
I will work strategically with the Commercial Director & Director of Sales to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.
My scope of work includes:
- Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property including type of rooms available as well as their location and layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans, credit policy of the hotel and reservation coding.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share across the assigned sectors.
- Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities within the region, leveraging competitor analysis and data insights to construct a measured, pro-active approach to driving revenue performance.
- Identify new business opportunities with selected agencies and companies, developing relationships to create new revenue streams and support our market share.
- Travel to key markets to conduct face-to-face meetings, presentation, and events to build relationships and negotiate business on behalf of the cluster hotels.
- Proactively address client needs as needed, acting is a primary liaison between the client and the hotel to ensure a seamless experience on behalf of the guest.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on market trends and performance, target account performance, and opportunities for growth.
- Revise and control that my department’s budget is strictly adhered to, and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability, while taking into consideration the preservation of required standards with every decision made.
- As Sales Manager, I am responsible for the performance and development of all hosts within my department through the provision of direction, encouragement, enthusiasm, discipline, performance evaluation and counselling to build a loyal, productive and effective team.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Sales Manager, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration or one of the other relevant faculties.
Possess a minimum of 3 years total experience in luxury hospitality with direct supervisory experience over the GCC Market Segment. I also have a strong understanding of the business landscape in Dubai, including cultural nuances and market trends. Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I bring additional fluency in Arabic, which is strongly preferred for the role.
Specific days and timing are based on the business needs, seasonality and local labour laws. I also recognize that the role is dynamic and may change to meet operational requirements. My performance is measured directly against these job responsibilities. I understand there will be a requirement to travel for work-related meetings and events.
