Awtad is seeking a meticulous and proactive Safety Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to throughout our operations. Your primary goal will be to promote a safe work environment, assess risks, and develop safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and incidents. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of safety management systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, compile reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and support to management on safety-related matters and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate safety training and workshops for employees at all levels.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and compile reports for management review.
• Stay current with safety regulations, industry practices, and emerging trends in safety management.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all operational aspects. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety engineering or safety management.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
