Supervising assistant practitioners, and other staff, and delivers appropriate training.
Ensures rooms and equipment are kept clean.
Educates patients before starting the procedure.
Ensures that the necessary radiation protection is given to the patient.
Takes x-ray as required and sends it for digital processing.
Checks the quality of x-ray before the patient leaves the department.
Sends the images for reporting to doctor’s reporting lobby through PACS system.
Attends the bedside x-rays and theatre calls whenever required.
Gives the necessary instruction and appointment to patients in case of contrast studies.
Maintains a daily record of work completed.
Follows appropriate procedure for obtaining and returning or cleaning / disposing of equipment and supplies.
Carries out the fluoroscopy procedures according to the instruction given by the radiologist.
