To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.
In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.
Job Description
RIBA Plan of Work Understanding
• Delivered infrastructure design aligned with RIBA Stages 0–4 (focus on Stages 2–4).
• Understands design evolution across RIBA stages (concept to technical).
• Familiar with LOIN and Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) processes.Infrastructure Design & Technical Capability
• Strong background in roads, utilities, stormwater, and grading.
• Experience integrating infrastructure into spatial/urban masterplans.
• Designs with sustainability, climate sensitivity, and constructability in mind.Design Management & Coordination
• Coordinates across disciplines (architecture, landscape, buildings).
• Understands and applies the Design Responsibility Matrix (DRM).
• Experienced in value engineering, change management, and design compliance.Project Delivery Experience
• Involved in district-scale projects under RIBA framework.
• Knowledge of early works, enabling infrastructure, and phased delivery.
• Interfaces infrastructure effectively with vertical and landscape design.Documentation & Technical Submissions
• Prepares/reviews engineering reports and RIBA-aligned design packages.
• Experienced in design submissions to clients and authorities.
• Proficient in BIM and GIS for infrastructure coordination and planning.Stakeholder & Authority Engagement
• Understands permitting and authority approval pathways.
• Interfaces confidently with clients, consultants, and utility providers.
• Leads coordination meetings and presents infrastructure strategies.Leadership & Soft Skills
• RIBA-aware, with a holistic design-thinking approach.
• Strong communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leads teams proactively through multi-disciplinary design processes.
Qualifications
15–20 years’ experience working on District Masterplans under RIBA requirements
Preferred Credentials
• Degree in Civil or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Familiarity with RIBA/ARB workflows (UK or international projects).
• Chartered status (CEng, PE, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in KSA and GCC .
