JOB PURPOSE:
Coordinate, provide support and advice to the operations staff to solve daily operational problems to ensure reliability, plant availability, and improve the operational efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific:
Operations Coordination and Support
Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities with the Operations; and establish activity priorities to improve the plant availability.
Maintain the operations activities in the maintenance management system for reporting and monitoring.
Develop the operating procedures and standing instructions to provide efficient overall control and coordination.
Monitor the plant day-to-day technical performance; provide corrective actions, procedures and recommendations to overcome the Plant’s issues.
Initiate action plans to improve high standards of safety within the Plant and participate in risk assessment and failure reports analysis.
Review and monitor the overall reliability efforts and participate in reliability improvement programs, problem identification, root cause analysis and recommendations to ensure the highest levels of quality.
Provide inputs related to the Plant’s modifications, projects, HAZOP, process flow diagrams review (PID’s) for improvements.
Coordinate the Plant’s shutdowns and turnarounds to facilitate smooth operations.
Provide input related to area activities for the timely updating of the maintenance management system.
Lead the risk assessment sessions; and evaluate the identified risks. Ensure the mitigation measures to control the risks.
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Generic:
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
Internal:
Regular contacts with the concerned Team Leader / Manager and team members.
Frequent contact with the Maintenance Department.
Frequent contact with other Operations and Maintenance Departments of other sites on matters related to the Area Operations.
Regular contacts with Plant’s Gas Operations Support Team and site operation services.
External:
Regular contacts with personnel of Various ADNOC OPCOs in adjacent industries on Operations related matters (coordination, liaison, and negotiation).
Contacts with Third Party Vendors, Products Consumers, Contractors, and Service Providers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering or an equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
8 years of experience in Plant Operations in the Oil and Gas industry.
Knowledge of all process units operations for Gas Processing Plants and general plant layout.
Conceptual thinking and new approach with business philosophies and principles.
Good understanding of HSE standards, policy, and procedures.
Planning, organising, scheduling, co-ordinating, checking, examining, and recording.

Exposed to prevailing Plant weather conditions. Required to use protective safety clothing or gear such as helmets, masks, overalls, coats, gloves, safety shoes, emergency escape breathing device (EEBD) as well as Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) during emergencies
