Manager Business Architect (Projects)

Key Accountabilities:

• Requirement Discovery & Clarification

• Lead structured requirement gathering with Business, Product, Operations, and IT stakeholders for Capex initiatives.

• Translate high-level business objectives and investment cases into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

• Challenge ambiguity, assumptions, and incomplete inputs to ensure requirements are clear, measurable, and outcome-driven.

• Requirement Detailing & Documentation

• Own the creation and maintenance of high-quality requirement artefacts (BRDs, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria).

• Ensure requirements are implementation-agnostic, focused on what is needed rather than how it is built.

• Ensure traceability between business objectives, requirements, and delivery scope throughout the lifecycle.

• Demand Shaping & Execution Readiness

• Partner with Project Owners to shape Capex initiatives into delivery-ready demand with defined scope, priorities, and dependencies.

• Ensure all demands meet entry criteria for estimation, planning, and funding approval.

• Support backlog refinement and PI / phase readiness by ensuring sufficient requirement maturity.

• Scope Integrity & Change Control

• Act as a guardian of requirement scope once Capex initiatives are approved.

• Assess impact of requirement changes on scope, timelines, capacity, and cost in collaboration with Demand and Delivery teams.

• Support Change Control Boards (CCBs) with clear articulation of requirement changes and business rationale.

• Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as the single point of accountability for requirement clarity for assigned Capex initiatives.

• Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, refinement sessions, and alignment workshops.

• Ensure consistent understanding of scope across Business, IT, and vendor teams.

Qualifications, Experience And Skills:

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor in Information Technology/ Information Services/ Computer Science

• Certifications such as Project Management, Agile Methodologies is a Must

• Master’s degree is a plus

Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in requirement management, business analysis, or product ownership roles

• Proven experience supporting large Capex-funded programs

• Experience working with multi-vendor delivery environments

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Business (CBAP or equivalent is a plus)

Skills

• Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills

• Ability to structure complex problem statements into clear requirements

• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management capabilities

• High attention to detail with strong scope discipline

• Experience in large telecom or enterprise IT environments (BSS/OSS preferred)

• Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery lifecycles from a requirements perspective

• Familiarity with backlog refinement, PI planning inputs, and UAT processes

• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and requirements traceability practices
