Your Role

The Loan Operations Associate will help run Tamara’s Loan Management System (LMS), the backbone of our lending operations. The LMS supports the entire loan lifecycle of the customer, from disbursement to repayments, collections, and closures, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both users and internal teams.

As a platform-focused role, you will collaborate closely with teams across Tamara, including Payments, Collections, Customer Support, Finance and Business. Your work will ensure that the right customer and loan data is captured in the LMS and any customer issue with respect to the loan is immediately addressed and resolved.

You will continuously document customer issues and feedback from users and internal stakeholders, analyze platform data, and implement improvements. By balancing business priorities, operational efficiency, and customer experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Tamara’s core lending infrastructure and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

• Execute standard operating procedures (SOP) to manage loan lifecycle.

• Perform manual operations to ensure the core banking system is updated with the right customer/merchant loan data.

• Automate recurring tasks and optimise day to day loan operations.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to solve for customer and system issues.

• Monitor loan data in the core banking system and pro actively solve for adhoc issues.

• Debug and resolve loan-level issues within the Mifos platform.

• Contribute to process improvements and platform scalability initiatives

• Support production systems and ensure platform stability

Your expertise

• Minimum 3–5 years of total work experience.

• Exposure to core banking systems, loan operations, repayments.

• Understanding of application and data flow in distributed systems.

• Background in lending products (Loans, Cards, BNPL) in fintech or banks.

• Self-starter, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced fintech environment.

• Academic background in accounting, commerce, finance would be a plus.

• Basic SQL knowledge to get data from database tables

Requirements
