Job Description

The Graduate Civil Engineer will support the Transportation team in delivering engineering and design activities related to roads, highways, and transport infrastructure projects. Under the supervision of experienced engineers, the role focuses on building strong analytical and design capabilities while contributing to project tasks.

This role is a part of our 24-months Advance graduate program. Your journey from graduate to future leader will be supported through structured learning programs and one-on-one mentoring with industry experts, equipping you with the tools to make a lasting impact on our organization and the nation.

As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in accordance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Builds analytic and design skills.

• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an

experienced engineer.

• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

• UAE National (with valid Family Book)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Graduated within the last 24 months from graduate program start date.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical skills
• Interest in transportation engineering (e.g., roads, highways, traffic analysis)
• Ability to work effectively under supervision within a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and transportation design standards
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or traffic modeling tools) preferred
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn within a structured graduate program
