Description
• Support Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices, including attending maintenance calls, device setup, conversions, demos, and assisting during SFTs / PVCs, as well as performing snag clearance.
• Independently perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on training devices and associated systems. Ensure PMTs are executed according to standards, properly signed off, and that any deficiencies raised are actioned, followed up, and closed in a timely manner.
• Run recurrent QTGs and perform low‑level troubleshooting using schematics and aircraft/device system documentation.
• Use the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review all maintenance activities. Plan, supervise, and produce reports for routine technical tasks.
• Provide On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) to Simulator Technicians I and Simulator Technical Assistants. Create, improve, and update procedures and guidelines for routine technical tasks.
• Assist with recurrent updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS & EFB Charts, Documents, and Performance Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads and troubleshooting. Maintain associated records in an up‑to‑date and accessible manner.
• Maintain, track, and request consumables and tools required for Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness.
• Support logistics duties including yearly inventories, store re‑arrangement, packing, and preparation for shipping.
• Perform housekeeping, administrative duties, and additional tasks in support of the technical services group as reasonably required.
• Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures. Exercise duty of care for personal safety and the safety of others who may be affected by work activities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness on simulation training devices.
• Adequate troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents related to simulation training devices.
• Capability to use test equipment efficiently and safely.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of computer networking.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules and shift patterns.
• Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
• Highly engaged and motivated individual.
• Strong customer orientation with the ability to manage sensitive situations tactfully.
• Strong workmanship and ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to provide On‑the‑Job Training to junior technicians.LI-JK1
