Job Description
Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will be the financial custodian of Basiqat Resort by Mantis, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and robust control environments in a remote resort setting.
You will partner closely with the General Manager and regional finance leadership to drive financial performance, safeguard assets, and support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role requiring both operational depth and strategic oversight, particularly suited to a pre-opening or early-stage resort environment.
What You’ll Do
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Prepare management accounts and performance analysis for leadership review
- Maintain integrity of financial data and compliance with group standardsBudgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Partner with department heads to ensure accurate cost planning and revenue alignment
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and explain variances
- Support commercial teams with financial insights to drive profitabilityInternal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure strong internal controls are implemented and maintained across all finance processes
- Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with Accor policies and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi financial regulations, tax requirements, and statutory obligations
- Coordinate internal and external auditsOperational Finance Support
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management
- Support procurement and purchasing processes with financial governance
- Ensure proper cost allocation across departments and revenue streamsBusiness Partnering
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the General Manager and leadership team
- Provide insights to support decision-making, cost optimisation, and revenue growth
- Work closely with operations, HR, and commercial teams to ensure financial alignmentSystems & Process Improvement
- Ensure effective use of financial systems and tools (PMS, ERP, POS integration where applicable)
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Support pre-opening financial setup and system implementation if required
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within hospitality or resort environments
- Strong background in financial controlling, accounting, and reporting
- Experience in pre-opening or remote operations is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of Saudi financial regulations and IFRS standards
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a strong control mindset
- Proficiency in financial systems (Opera, Sun, SAP, or equivalent hospitality ERP systems)
