Position Summary

As the Engineering Manager of the FinTech Team, you will lead the engineering efforts for PropertyFinder’s growing suite of fintech products. You will steward a high-performing cross-functional team focused on enabling seamless digital transactions, improving user financial journeys, and integrating modernized financial services into our property ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Define and drive the technology vision and roadmaps for fintech products across PropertyFinder.

• Architect scalable, secure, and compliant fintech platforms that support rapid product innovation and integration with third-party providers.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure platform stability, security, and regulatory compliance across all fintech products.

• Monitor key operational KPIs such as transaction success rates, latency, fraud detection, and uptime.

• Lead incident management and continuous improvement programs focused on resilience and reliability.

Product Development & Experimentation:

• Partner closely with Product, Design, Security, and Legal teams to iterate and launch new financial features and improve user conversions.

• Build infrastructure that supports experimentation and safe feature rollouts, including A/B testing and rollout flags.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external financial partners to align technical delivery with business goals and regulatory requirements.

• Effectively communicate progress, risks, and strategic updates to senior leadership.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Recruit, coach, and mentor a diverse team of fintech engineers and engineers-in-test.

• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous learning, and cross-discipline collaboration.

• Champion continuous learning and the adoption of industry best practices in fintech development.

Platform Enablement:

• Champion API-first design enabling seamless fintech service integrations.

• Drive adoption of modern fintech standards (PII, PCI-DSS, KYC/AML compliance tools, Open Banking APIs).

• Lead the modernization or migration of legacy services towards cloud-native, microservices architectures.

Technical Skills

•
Proven expertise in building fintech or payment solutions, preferably in mortgage, lending, or digital payments domains.

•
Strong understanding of financial transaction flows, settlement systems, banking APIs, and regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, PCI-DSS).

•
Experience with integration of third-party financial data providers, payment gateways, and fintech platforms.

•
Skilled in backend technologies (Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Python, Go, or similar) and API development (REST/GraphQL).

•
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

•
Familiarity with security best practices in fintech applications, including encryption, tokenization, and secure key management.

•
Knowledge of event-driven architectures and stream processing (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is beneficial.

•
Comfortable with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.

Your Profile

• 8+ years in software engineering with significant fintech product experience.

• 3+ years of people management leading cross-functional fintech engineering teams.

• Demonstrated success delivering regulated, mission-critical financial products.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

• Passion for fintech innovation and enhancing user financial experiences while maintaining compliance and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real estate fintech or marketplaces integrating embedded finance is a plus.

• Previous exposure to AI/ML for risk detection, credit scoring, or financial personalization.

• Knowledge of the MENA financial services landscape and regulatory environment is advantageous.
