Job Purpose
Provide technical expertise and engineering support to workshop and static equipment maintenance in the plant.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Workshop Maintenance
Monitor the activities in the workshop to ensure efficiency and compliance to procedures.
Provide technical support solutions to trouble shoot problems related to Fabrication, Welding & machining related activities inside the plant.
Coordinate action for replacements or obsolete equipment and develop repair strategies for corrective action.
Provide technical advice on development proposals involving modifications or additions to existing systems, ensuring the implementation of Company s policies and procedures.
Prepare Preventive Maintenance Plans and implement to reduce down time and optimize resource utilization.
Review ongoing workshop maintenance and repair projects to provide engineering support for their completion.
Prepare and verify procedures/methodologies for critical fabrication, welding and machining related maintenance jobs to achieve the task in compliance with Company s standards and policies
Carry out the multidisciplinary workshop activities and overhaul work for availability and safe operations.
Technical evaluation and Equipment / Materials Control
Participate in the pre-qualification and procurement activities through Technical Review, order finalization and follow up for timely delivery & availability.
Prepare requisitions for the issue of correct materials, tools and safety equipment and raise direct charge PR/PFS for non-stock items and service PR for the repairable items to ensure availability.
Coordinate issue of equipment with Material Management Department, to ensure required stock availability.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience, in workshop, maintenance of static equipment and field experience in a diversified oil and gas processing environment within a large organization.
