1. Performance Monitoring & Analytics
• Define, track, and monitor all terminal productivity KPIs including berth productivity, crane moves per hour, RTG/RMG utilization, equipment idle time, truck turnaround, and yard dwell time.
• Establish real-time operational dashboards linking vessel, yard, equipment, and gate performance.
• Perform root-cause analysis for underperformance, delays, or equipment inefficiencies, and propose corrective measures.
• Prepare regular performance review reports for VP and senior leadership with trend analysis and improvement recommendations.
• 2. Continuous Improvement & Lean/Kaizen Leadership
• Champion Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and GEMBA initiatives across all terminals to eliminate waste and reduce non-value-added activities.
• Identify process bottlenecks in vessel planning, yard management, and gate operations; design and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Lead cross-functional workshops with Operations, Planning, IT, Commercial, and Customer Service to standardize best practices.
• 3. Optimization & Digital Transformation
• Lead the deployment and integration of advanced optimization systems (Auto-Vessel Planning, Yard Clash Module, AI-driven RTG scheduling).
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to fine-tune system parameters, ensuring full alignment with operational needs.
• Develop predictive models for yard capacity management, vessel productivity forecasting, and equipment maintenance optimization.
• Oversee automation initiatives in crane, yard, and gate operations to ensure smooth adoption and return on investment.
• Ensure seamless digitalization of manual/non-sense tasks, reducing human error and dependency on manual intervention.
• 4. Benchmarking & Strategic Efficiency Gains
• Conduct internal benchmarking across Jebel Ali Terminals (T1–T4) and external benchmarking against leading global ports.
• Develop performance indexes for vessel calls, yard utilization, and gate operations, ensuring comparability and transparency.
• Identify opportunities for reducing unproductive moves, double-handling, and operational rework to improve throughput.
• Propose financial impact assessments of inefficiencies (e.g., cost of unproductive moves, delays, or underutilized equipment) to support business cases..
• 5. Leadership & People Development
• Manage and develop a team of operational analysts, process engineers, system specialists, and optimization officers.
• Assign clear performance targets and ensure individual accountability aligned with organizational KPIs.
