Summary: The Direct Procurement Manager is responsible for executing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers for defined direct spend categories. The role is hands-on and operational, focused on day-to-day procurement excellence, supplier performance, and support of product launches. This role is ideal for a strong practitioner who delivers results within an established framework.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Category & Sourcing Execution

• Manage assigned direct procurement categories (e.g. packaging, raw materials, components)
• Execute sourcing activities: RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, negotiations
• Support supplier selection for new product development (NPD) and relaunches
• Ensure alignment with quality, lead time, MOQ, and cost targetsSupplier Management & Performance

• Manage supplier relationships at an operational level
• Track supplier KPIs (OTIF, quality, lead time, responsiveness)
• Support supplier performance reviews and corrective action plans
• Escalate risks and issues proactivelyContracting & Compliance

• Ensure suppliers are contracted using standard templates
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance on contract execution
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval processesCross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Supply Chain, QA, Product Development, and Marketing
• Support product launches by ensuring supplier readiness and capacity
• Act as Procurement point of contact for assigned categoriesContinuous Improvement

• Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
• Contribute to procurement process improvements
• Maintain accurate supplier and sourcing documentationRequirements

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in Direct Procurement
• Experience in FMCG, beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods preferred
• Exposure to packaging and/or raw materials sourcingSkills

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Operationally strong, detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
