Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Director to lead the successful execution of large-scale construction projects in Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record in delivering complex structural and infrastructure projects, combined with strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end delivery of major construction projects from mobilization through to handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Oversee multiple project streams simultaneously, managing portfolios valued at SAR 500M with full P&L accountability. Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, controls, and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility and proactive risk management.Leadership & Team Management
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing project teams including project managers, engineers, and site leadership across multiple locations. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong health, safety, and environmental standards. Develop talent pipelines and succession planning to ensure organizational capability and continuity.Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, maintaining strategic relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Navigate complex stakeholder environments including government entities, consultants, contractors, and joint venture partners. Lead contract negotiations, manage variations, and resolve disputes effectively to protect project outcomes and commercial interests.Strategic Planning & Commercial Performance
- Develop and implement delivery strategies that align with business objectives and maximize profitability. Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimization, and programme acceleration without compromising quality. Provide strategic input to pursuit and tendering activities, including risk assessment, delivery methodology, and resource planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JCT), and quality management systems
- Minimum 15 years in construction project delivery with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles managing mega-projects (SAR 500M )
- Demonstrated success delivering major structural projects such as high-rise towers, mixed-use developments, stadiums, hospitals, or institutional buildings
- Proven experience working in Saudi Arabia with deep understanding of local construction market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and business practices
- Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to influence and inspire teams in challenging environments
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and business development orientation
- Proven track record of building and maintaining senior-level client relationships and navigating complex organizational structures
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels and cultural contexts
