We are seeking a Cost Estimator in Dubai with a strong background in Events and Exhibitions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and compiling comprehensive data on all factors that influence the cost of designing, building, and delivering exhibition stands or event setups.
The role involves evaluating project requirements from the initial design phase, preparing detailed cost breakdowns for materials, resources, outsourcing needs, and manpower. The Cost Estimator will also support the Line Manager in developing accurate and competitive project estimates to ensure successful project planning and execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Review visuals and Technical Drawings, Design and specifications for an exhibition stand or event
• Perform quantity take offs on exhibition stand designs and events.
• Estimate material, equipment and resource cost via an agreed template
• Submit estimates in a timely and accurate manner allowing for a 10% variance based on market rates
• Compile and manage a supplier data base and negotiate preferential rate cards.
• Mark up costs to a 30% margin level decided upon by the SESM / VP.
• Produce a formatted quotation for submittal to the internal sales and other departments.
• Liaise with stand fabricators and associated suppliers.
• Brief taking & perpetration of initial estimated budgets for review by Senior Management prior to contractual committal.

Formal Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Estimation field.
Skills and Knowledge required:
• Knowledge of architectural drawings & construction/exhibition estimating process.
• Knowledge of CAD
• Ability to work unsociable hours
• Respond to deadlines
• Good negotiation skills.
• Interdepartmental communication skills
