Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Inspector to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across our civil and structural projects. As a Civil Inspector, you'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, analyzing construction materials and workmanship, and maintaining meticulous documentation to support project success. Your analytical mindset, collaborative approach, and commitment to excellence will be essential in this position.
- Perform thorough civil and structural inspections at project sites in accordance with design specifications, construction standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks to verify that all materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet established specifications and industry standards
- Execute material testing and precise measurements to confirm compliance with project requirements and building codes
- Document all inspection findings, test results, observations, and non-conformities in detailed, organized reports and site records
- Identify defects, deviations from specifications, and non-conformities, and escalate issues promptly to project management with clear recommendations
- Liaise effectively with contractors, engineers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to communicate inspection requirements, findings, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible records of all inspections, certifications, approvals, and project documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety protocols, health and safety regulations, and environmental compliance standards throughout all inspection activities
- Analyze inspection data and trends to identify patterns and provide insights that support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction challenges and implement solutions that maintain quality and project timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil and structural inspection on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Extensive hands-on experience with mega water and wastewater facilities, including pump stations, shafts, and Sewage Treatment Plants
- Proven expertise in conducting quality assurance and quality control inspections on complex construction projects
- Strong, comprehensive knowledge of relevant building codes, construction standards, industry best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparing detailed, technical inspection reports and comprehensive project documentation
- Solid understanding of material testing methodologies, measurement techniques, and quality verification processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections and maintain meticulous records
- Proficiency in site safety compliance, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Familiarity with construction project management principles and experience working within project-based environments
- Preferred: Professional certifications in civil inspection, quality assurance, or related disciplines
- Preferred: Experience with construction management software and digital documentation systems
