Civil Engineer Intern (Tamheer)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Engineer Intern to join our engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in civil engineering through the Tamheer internship program. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects, contributing to the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering initiatives while developing your technical skill set and professional capabilities.

• Assist in the preparation and review of technical drawings, blueprints, and design documents using industry-standard software
• Conduct site inspections and document field observations, measurements, and project progress with precision and accuracy
• Support senior engineers in analyzing project requirements and developing solutions to engineering challenges
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of project documentation, reports, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Saudi building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Assist in the estimation of project costs, timelines, and resource requirements
• Contribute to the organization and coordination of project meetings and site visits
• Learn and apply civil engineering principles to practical construction and infrastructure projects
• Support the development of construction schedules and project management activities
• Maintain organized records and databases related to project information and technical data

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a civil engineering program or equivalent technical field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Strong understanding of technical drawing interpretation and blueprint reading
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Basic knowledge of construction processes and civil engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with structural principles and building design concepts
• Preferred: Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Preferred: Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes and construction standards
• Preferred: Previous site visit or field experience in construction or engineering projects
• Preferred: Understanding of project management concepts and methodologies
