Overview Of The Role:

The Senior Accountant R2R is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely book closing, Balance Sheet substantiation, and management reporting for automotive business units. The role entails streamlining Record to Report processes, conducting thorough Trial Balance reviews, and providing support for both local and overseas financial processes. Success in this role ensures compliance with group finance policies, supports business decisions through quality financial reporting, and facilitates smooth external audits.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and control the monthly closing of books with the teams to ensure recognition of robust financials within group timelines.

• Work for continuous improvement in monthly closing activities to ensure quality financials for business units.

• Carry out detailed review of key automotive accounts in the Trial Balance and ensure substantiation of balances.

• Support a robust R2R process through standardizing the accounting process, regular key account reconciliations, improved Fixed Asset management, and enhanced month-end process and reporting.

• Prepare and submit accurate, timely monthly management reports as per agreed templates with comments for review with the Finance Manager or AGM Finance.

• Provide support for overseas entities by reviewing current processes and sharing best practices to improve standards.

• Coordinate external audits of the automotive entity by providing relevant explanations and schedules to auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Support the preparation of standalone financial statements for automotive entities in accordance with governance from Group Finance or Divisional Controlling.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, particularly SAP.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with finance teams and external auditors.

• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Professional accounting qualification, such as CPA or ACCA.

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience within a large organization.

• Strong analytical skills, process-oriented, with proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP and SAP BW/BPC.

• Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team with excellent communication and presentation skills.
