Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Translator to join our organization in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally sensitive translations across various documents and communications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional linguistic skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of translation quality. You will work with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure clear and precise communication across language barriers.

• Translate written documents, correspondence, and materials from English to Arabic and vice versa with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Analyze source materials to understand context, terminology, and nuance before producing translations
• Maintain consistency in terminology and style across multiple projects and documents
• Proofread and edit translations to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards
• Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines
• Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to clarify ambiguous content and ensure precise translations
• Customize translations to suit specific audiences, industries, and organizational requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive or proprietary information
• Stay current with industry terminology, translation best practices, and cultural developments
• Utilize translation software and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to enhance efficiency and consistency
• Document translation decisions and maintain organized project records for future reference

Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal proficiency required)
• Minimum 5 years of professional translation experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Advanced proficiency with translation management software and CAT tools
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents and specialized terminology
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to regional business practices in Saudi Arabia
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Professional certification in translation or interpreting
• Demonstrated experience with specialized translation (technical, legal, medical, or business)
• Proven knowledge of localization practices and processes
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian business culture and local conventions
• Preferred: Project management experience overseeing multiple translation initiatives
• Preferred: Mentoring or training experience with junior translators
• Preferred: Experience in quality assurance and translation standards development
