Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, A Properties Co. W.L.L. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
The Training Manager – Task Force will provide dedicated Learning & Development support to the assigned Marriott property for a minimum period of six (6) months. The role is responsible for assessing training needs, implementing Marriott-aligned training programs, strengthening employee capabilities, and supporting the hotel in achieving its brand, service, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
•
Conduct a comprehensive training needs assessment upon commencement of the assignment.
•
Develop and implement a minimum 6-month training action plan based on identified operational and employee development needs.
•
Deliver Marriott-aligned orientation, service, operational, leadership, and compliance training.
•
Work closely with department heads to identify employee performance and competency gaps.
•
Coach and develop supervisors, managers, and associates.
•
Monitor training attendance, completion, and effectiveness.
•
Maintain accurate training records and prepare monthly training reports.
•
Support the implementation of Marriott learning programs and initiatives.
•
Conduct training audits and recommend corrective actions where required.
•
Monitor improvement in service quality, employee performance, and compliance with hotel standards.
•
Develop departmental trainers and strengthen the property's internal training capability.
•
Conduct regular follow-up assessments to measure the effectiveness of training.
•
Provide management with progress updates and recommendations throughout the assignment.
•
Ensure that training systems, materials, and processes are properly established and documented before completion of the task-force assignment.
•
Prepare a handover and sustainability plan to ensure continuity of training after the six-month assignment.
•
Perform other duties related to Learning & Development as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, HR, Business, or related field.
•
Minimum 3–5 years’ hotel training/L&D experience, preferably at management level.
•
Previous Marriott or international hotel experience is preferred.
•
Task Force, pre-opening, or hotel opening experience is an advantage.
•
Strong knowledge of hotel operations, service standards, and SOPs.
•
Excellent training, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
•
Good command of English and Microsoft Office.
•
Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
•
Able to work with multicultural teams and adapt quickly.
•
Willing to travel/relocate and commit to a minimum 6-month Task Force assignment.
