- Assist in leading and instructing support vessels, barges, and crew transfer boats for marine and dredging operations
- Help plan, execute, and report on critical marine works including floating pipelines, sinker pipelines, and anchors with a focus on safety and productivity
- Participate in periodic maintenance tasks, including thickness measurement and rotation of marine pipelines to ensure asset longevity
- Support marine logistics for offshore vessels, including passenger transfers, material handling, bunkering (fuel), freshwater, lubricants, and disposal of used oil
- Assist in managing jetty operations, including safety, security, housekeeping, and access control
- Help prepare marine assets for safe mobilization and demobilization to and from project sites
- Aid in the installation, maintenance, and removal of silt curtains, weather monitoring buoys, navigation buoys, and boundary marking buoys, including their illumination
- Support consultation and planning with dredger and auxiliary vessel crews, project staff including Dredge Superintendent, Works Manager, and Offshore Marine Coordinator (OMC)
- Liaise with OMC, Harbor Master, Port Authorities, and client personnel for safe movement of marine assets
- Coordinate with the Company Marine Logistics team for arranging transportation of bunkers, freshwater, lubricants, etc.
- Assist in arranging berthing and unberthing of barges and workboats
- Help in the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of crew transfer Jetty
- Order items required for marine operations and track all marine inventory, reporting weekly on the status and condition of assets
- Assist in managing the crew and related equipment, applying necessary procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Supervise and ensure safety compliance for all workers, adhering to HSE requirements and leading by example
- Maintain awareness and enforce strict compliance with safety procedures, industry codes, and statutory regulations
- Provide accurate information on work progress, performance, accidents, delays, asset status, and work forecasts to supervisors
- Offer guidance to junior staff and escalate unresolved issues to superiors
- Actively participate in the safety program and contribute to a safer working environment
- Perform any additional tasks as required by operational needs, which may be beyond the general scope of this role
Requirements
- •Ability to assist in leading and instructing support vessels, barges, and crew transfer boats
- •Ability to plan, execute, and report on critical marine works
- •Knowledge of marine logistics including bunkering, freshwater, and lubricant handling
- •Ability to manage jetty operations, safety, and access control
- •Ability to liaise with Harbor Master, Port Authorities, and client personnel
- •Ability to coordinate with Marine Logistics teams for asset transportation
- •Ability to supervise crew and equipment while ensuring HSE compliance
- •Ability to provide accurate progress reports and work forecasts
