Trade Finance Subject Matter Expert
• Provide deep domain expertise in Trade Finance, operations, products, and industry best practices. Drive process optimization, product enhancement, and risk mitigation initiatives to improve efficiency, compliance, and client experience.
• Serve as the internal expert on Trade Finance products including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, Supply Chain Finance, and Open Account solutions.
• Review and optimize existing trade finance processes to improve turnaround time, reduce operational risk, and enhance client service.
• Recommend product enhancements aligned with market trends and client needs.
• Ensure trade operations comply with international rules and regulatory requirements.
• Identify automation opportunities within trade workflows to reduce manual intervention and operational errors.
• Support digitization initiatives, including trade platforms and document management systems.
• Advise on structuring complex trade transactions and mitigating trade-related risks.
• Conduct gap analysis against industry best practices and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams to strengthen controls and governance.
• Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to Relationship Managers and Operations teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in Trade Finance business/ sales, operations, and product structuring.
• Deep knowledge of international trade rules and practices .
• Experience in process improvement, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong understanding of trade-related risk (documentary risk, country risk, counterparty risk, compliance risk).
• Familiarity with trade digitization platforms and workflow automation tools..
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate technical trade requirements into practical business solutions.Requirements
